Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on electrical and controls support for manufacturing equipment
- Support a 24/7 operation, including participation in off-shift/on-call support as needed
- Troubleshoot equipment and system issues to minimize unplanned downtime
- Coordinate repairs and improvements with Production and Maintenance teams
- Lead and support electrical improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, reliability, and cost
- Manage electrical system upgrades and support capital projects
- Analyze data, identify improvement opportunities, and estimate cost/benefit
- Develop and maintain documentation such as operating procedures, PM plans, and troubleshooting guides
- Train operators and maintenance personnel on equipment and system changes
- Support quality, inspection, and safety systems
- Communicate project updates, equipment changes, and priorities across all shifts
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Working knowledge of:
- Electrical power distribution
- PLCs (Rockwell / Allen‑Bradley preferred)
- Motors and drives
- Industrial communication networks
- Windows-based PC systems
Preferred Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
- Project coordination and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in time‑sensitive situations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
Work Environment
- Manufacturing environment requiring on‑site presence
- Ability to walk, climb stairs, bend, lift, and work in confined or elevated spaces
- Exposure to varying temperatures
- PPE required (safety shoes, glasses, hearing protection, respirator as needed)
